SAHS and IYA conducts Awareness Program on Yoga Wellness

As part of the Student Induction Programme, the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS), Associate Centre of Indian Yoga Association, at VMRF (DU), Salem, collaborated with the IYA to organize an “Awareness Programme on Yoga Wellness: Mind & Body” on September 9, 2024.

The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean of Health Sciences, who spoke about the benefits of yoga, pranayama, and mindfulness in improving physical strength, mental clarity, and stress management.

The keynote speaker, Dr. R. Vetri Vendan, a Siddha Medical Officer, provided valuable insights into the philosophical roots of yoga and its role in promoting holistic well-being. Participants appreciated the practical knowledge and integration of mind-body techniques.
