Project ‘Life’ & Kaivalyadhama jointly organises ‘Pranayama and Meditation’ workshop

Project ‘Life’ Rajkot & Kaivalyadhama, Lonavala collaborated to organise ‘Pranayama and Meditation’ workshop from July 22-27, 2024. The workshop was led by esteemed Shri Sudhir Tiwari Ji, the internationally acclaimed Pranayama Guru from Canada.

Ms. Meetal Koticha Shah, Jt. Executive Trustee & CEO – Project ‘Life’ & Sr. Vice-Chairperson, Gujarat SCC, IYA extended a warm welcome to Shri Sudhir Tiwari Ji and all participants. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to organize this unique workshop and its positive impact on health & wellbeing.

Shri Sudhir Tiwari Ji explored both traditional and scientific methods of Pranayama and Meditation, emphasising on Pranayama being a potent tool for attaining physical, mental and emotional well-being. He noted that although many people invest time in practicing Yoga Asanas, Pranayama providing distinct advantages, warrants dedicated focus.
Key Teachings

Shri Sudhir Tiwari Ji provided comprehensive explanation on the basics and significance of Pranayama as described in Yogic texts, covering:
• Shat Kriyas: The six purification practices.
• Preparatory Practices: Essential steps to prepare for effective Pranayama.
• Pranayama Techniques: Detailed instructions and practical sessions on various Pranayama techniques, including: Suryabhedan, Ujjayi, Shitkari, Sheetali, Bhastrika & Bhramari.

Participation and Engagement
The workshop which was arranged in two sessions, with hybrid mode in evening session, attracted participants from multiple states across India, including Uttarakhand, Haryana, Gujarat, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Pune, Rajasthan, Delhi, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.
The workshop was attended virtually by international participants in Brazil, the Netherlands, Texas, Japan, Canada, and the US, eager to learn both traditional and scientific techniques of Pranayama and Meditation.

Ms Meetal Koticha Shah extended profound thanks to Shri Subodh Tiwari Ji, Hon. Secretary and CEO of Kaivalyadhama & Secretary General of the Indian Yoga Association, for the opportunity and support in organizing the workshop in Rajkot. She acknowledged the vital role of Indian Yoga Association in promoting the hybrid evening session and making it so successful. The event was concluded with Ms. Shah acknowledging the invaluable deliverance by Shri Sudhir Tiwari Ji, presenting him a shawl as a token of her deep gratitude.
