IYA’s 40th Executive Council Meeting:

Embracing Progress and Vision

The 40th meeting of the Executive Council of the India Yoga Association was convened online on April 2, 2024, from 5 pm to 6 pm. The meeting was attended by key members including Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra, President, Shri S Sridharan, Vice President, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary, Shri KC Jain, Treasurer, Dr S P Mishra, CEO, PrCB, Dr Ganesh Rao, Director SAAC, Ms Padmini, Working Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee and Ms Ganga Nandini, Special Invitee.

The session commenced with a prayer, following which the Secretary General welcomed all attendees and then passed the floor to the Honourable President to inaugurate the meeting. In her opening remarks, the President extended greetings to all EC members and emphasized the importance of holding our meetings in a systematic and regular manner. Subsequently, the agenda was presented by Shri Subodh Tiwari.


The minutes of the 39th Executive Council Meeting were confirmed, and actions taken were reviewed. The meeting covered a range of topics, including the restructuring of the Personnel Certification Board (PrCB), the inclusion of a new Member Institute, plans for celebrating 100 days to the International Day of Yoga in Lucknow, a presentation on IYA’s App, the architecture for database/credentials/memberships, strategies for social media and marketing to promote IYA and PrCB, the relocation of the PrCB Office to Anuvrat Bhawan, and proposals for zone-wise awards for Associate Centres, among other agenda items.

The proceedings concluded with a Shanti Mantra.
