SAHS with IYA inaugurates Dia Yoga programme & Fit India Movement

School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (DU), Salem & Sharthika Integrative Medical Center, Salem in association with Indian Yoga Association inaugurated the Dia Yoga programme at college campus on December 19, 2022. The programme was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of yoga to reverse Diabetes Mellitus. The programme was presided over by Prof Dr.B.Sendilkumar, Director, SAHS, VMRF(DU) and it provided training for improving mental & physical health among students & public and special asanas to reverse Diabetes was taught by Dr.C.Parthiban, Founder, Sharthika Integrative Medical Center, Salem, The programme was scheduled from December 2022 to May 2023 from 6:30am to 7:00am every morning.

SAHS Youth Club, School of Allied Health Sciences, Salem in association with Indian Yoga association also organized a “Fit India Movement Activity” on December 14, 2022. Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Director, SAHS, presided over the event. Dr.C.Parthiban, Yoga Instructor & Founder of SIMC Salem was invited as a Chief Guest of the programme. He instructed and trained the participants on the different yogasanas for attaining physical and mental fitness for the students and faculties. Nearly 60 members enthusiastically participated and performed various asanas.
