The Assam State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association met on April 4, 2023 for discuss the IDY 2023. The members who marked their presence included Shri Subabrata Mukherjee, Shri Rituraj, Dr. Ujjwal Maske and Smt Mosumi Borpuzary.
It was decided that International Day of Yoga (IDY) will be celebrated in noteworthy way. Trainers will be sent to schools wherein they will be training students about the protocols and the students will perform on the 21st of June under the banner of IDY.
Members of the SCC also decided to soon meet Central AYUSH Minsiter Shri Sarbananda Sonowal to discuss the taking up of new projects and making IDY more successful. Opening ceremony and a closing ceremony will be held. There will be a 50 days countdown which will be maintained and the process and activities will start from the day itself. The first day of the 50 day countdown will be the “Opening Ceremony” of IDY and subsequently the “Closing Ceremony” will be held after the completion of IDY.
