NIRAMAYA leads Yoga-Sampark Abhiyan in Tripura

As part of the celebrations leading up to the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, NIRAMAYA School of Yoga Education (Member Institution of the Indian Yoga Association and a Yoga Certification Board-accredited institution under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India) has been conducting a series of awareness and outreach initiatives under its flagship programme, “Yoga Chetana Mahotsav.”

One of the major highlights of the campaign was the successful organization of the Yoga-Sampark Abhiyan (Yoga Outreach Campaign) in Tripura. The initiative aimed to promote yoga education, yogic wellness, and the integration of Yoga into academic institutions and community life.
During the campaign, representatives of NIRAMAYA School of Yoga Education met with Dr. Bibhash Deb, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala, to discuss the role of Yoga in enhancing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students. Dr. Deb emphasized that Yoga provides the inner strength needed to remain calm and resilient during challenging situations and highlighted its importance as a daily practice for students, teachers, and parents alike.

The Vice-Chancellor also expressed interest in exploring ways to incorporate yoga education within the university framework to support the holistic development of students. The proposal was further discussed in the presence of the University Registrar, Controller of Examinations, and faculty members, all of whom showed keen interest in promoting yoga education and wellness initiatives on campus.

Representing NIRAMAYA School of Yoga Education were Director Smt. Shatakshi Bhattacharya and Chief Coordinator Yogacharya Divya Geetanand Rahul, who shared the institution’s vision of making Yoga an integral part of modern education and healthy living.

As part of the outreach programme, a similar awareness initiative was conducted at Hindi Higher Secondary School, Agartala, where Acting Principal Bhavani Jamatia and faculty members actively participated in discussions on the importance of Yoga in fostering discipline, health, and overall well-being among students.

Through the Yoga-Sampark Abhiyan and other activities under Yoga Chetana Mahotsav, NIRAMAYA School of Yoga Education continues to strengthen public awareness about Yoga and contribute meaningfully to the nationwide celebrations of International Day of Yoga 2026.
