Puducherry SCC collaborates with Satya Special School for Awareness program

As part of the signature event category under Yoga Samavesh, a special awareness program on Yoga Therapy was conducted for Divyangjan (children with special needs) and special educators on April 22, 2025. The event was led by Dr. Meena Ramanathan, Principal of the School of Yoga Therapy at ISCM and Vice President of IYA Puducherry Chapter, in collaboration with Satya Special School, Auroville Branch.

Over 60 children and educators participated in this heartwarming session. The program demonstrated how regular yoga practice enhances attention span, motor coordination, comprehension, and emotional stability among children with special needs. Integrating humor and compassion into the session helped connect with the children and make the practice enjoyable and effective.

Dr Meena was accompanied by Smt Bhuvaneshwari and Ms Kaviya Darshini. The event was conducted with the support of Prof Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Director of ISCM and President of IYA Puducherry Chapter. The genuine joy and heartfelt smiles of the participants made the event truly memorable.
