Grand Surya Namaskar program held across Rajasthan on Surya Saptami

Under the joint initiative of the Government of Rajasthan and the Directorate of Education, Rajasthan, a statewide Surya Namaskar event was organized on the auspicious occasion of Surya Saptami on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. This grand initiative aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the ancient practice of Surya Namaskar.

In Kota, the event was conducted at Higher Secondary School, Nayagaon, where Yoga from Heart Director, Yogacharya Manish Jain, led the session. School Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Sharma, highlighted the significance of celebrating Surya Saptami through this collective yoga practice.

The session commenced with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati in honor of Vasant Panchami, followed by Sukshma Vyayama (subtle exercises) to prepare the body. Yogacharya Manish Jain guided participants through the Surya Namaskar sequence, explaining each asana along with its Beej Mantra and Surya Mantra recitation, enriching the practice with spiritual depth and traditional wisdom.

The event saw an overwhelming participation of more than 1,000 students and faculty members, all benefiting from the holistic experience. Additionally, Mukesh Saxena from Yoga from Heart and several distinguished citizens were present, adding to the significance of the occasion.

This grand initiative successfully reinforced the importance of yoga in daily life, inspiring students and educators alike to embrace health, discipline, and mindfulness through the practice of Surya Namaskar.
