The Standing Research Committee Meeting of IYA was recently held on December 22, 2022. The meeting saw discussion about a detailed plan of action to initiate research, dissemination and publications through IYA while utilizing the strengths of all its member institutions and their experienced faculty.
The first meeting of the committee was chaired by Dr Manjunath Sharma, Director, Research Committee. Others who participated were Dr Kaustubh Desikachar, Dr Purnandu Sharma and Dr Pranita Joshi Deshmukh. He explained the present status of Yoga research and identified the priority areas of IYA research. Thereafter, sub-committees were created and nominated for the addition of new members under sub-committees. Other important points were as well discussed. Meeting concluded with the closing note.
