On July 26, 2024, the Executive Committee of the Maharashtra State Chapter of Indian Yoga Association held an online meeting via Zoom, chaired by Dr. Vishwasrao Mandlik Guruji.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Satish Pathak, Shir Durgadas Sawant, Shri Shailesh Parikh, and Shri Shrikrishna Mhaskar. It started with Om chanting.
The committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting held on May 20, 2023. The discussion then focused on the performance of state chapters, with the Secretary urging member institutes to promote membership drives and integrate their internal courses with IYA Certification.
While this proposal was widely accepted, some members sought more clarity on the benefits of IYA membership. Additionally, the reorganization of the State Chapter body was discussed, highlighting a lack of response from existing members to communications from the Central Body. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chairman, followed by Shantipath and Omkar chanting.
