Jaipur resonates with joy on World Laughter Day

In a radiant celebration filled with joy and community spirit, Jaipur came alive on World Laughter Day 2025 as hundreds gathered at Jawahar Circle to participate in a grand event organized by Yogapeace Sansthan in collaboration with the Indian Yoga Association. The early morning gathering transformed into a vibrant festival of laughter, drawing enthusiastic participation from children, youth, and the elderly, all united in celebrating the healing power of laughter. As waves of cheerful laughter echoed through the gardens, even morning walkers and joggers, initially mere spectators, were drawn in by the infectious energy and soon became part of the celebration.

The event was graced by Yogacharya Dhakaram, Founder of Yogapeace Sansthan, who addressed the audience with deep insight on the profound impact of laughter on holistic well-being. He described laughter as a “natural tranquilizer,” capable of easing stress, anxiety, and depression—without the aid of medication. A major highlight was the collective showcase by eight laughter yoga groups, each bringing a unique theme and colorful costumes, turning the venue into a sea of creativity, joy, and uninhibited laughter.

The cheerful atmosphere was further elevated by a spirited competition, where the FastFit Fitness Center won First Prize of ₹15,000, followed by Pink City Laughter Club with the Second Prize of ₹11,000, and Milkar Hanse – India Arham Group securing Third Prize of ₹5,100. Individual participants who stood out with exceptional laughter spirit were also recognized, receiving a total of ₹10,000 in special audience awards.

The prizes were presented by an esteemed panel of dignitaries including Yogacharya Dhakaram, Mahesh Sharma (State President, IYA Rajasthan), Pt. Suresh Mishra (National President, Brahmin Samaj), Jyoti Khandelwal (Former Mayor of Jaipur), Sharad Khandelwal, Acharya Yogi Manish, Yogacharya Lalit Madan (Morarji Desai Yoga Institute, Delhi), Yogacharya Hari Singh Solanki, Megh Singh Chauhan (Vice President), Dr. Arun Joshi, Surendra Sharma, and Yogacharya Abhinav Joshi, who also coordinated the event.

As a token of gratitude, commemorative mementos were presented to special guests including Yogacharya Archana Tyagi (Meerut), Shri Subhash Saraf, Shri Pawan Agrawal, Dr Anupama Soni, Shri Rajneesh Bohra, Shri JD Maheshwari, Shri Vishnu Thanvi, Shri LD Maheria, Dr Sunil Dandh, and social activist Sanwarmal Jangid. The entire program was seamlessly anchored by Yogi Manish, while the organizing team— Shri Arvind Sejwan, Shri Ashish Kothari, and Acharya Amit—ensured that every guest experienced the warmth and hospitality in true Indian tradition, upholding the spirit of Atithi Devo Bhava.
