I am extremely delighted to congratulate the editorial team of “Yogavāni” the voice of
Indian Yoga Association (IYA) on it entering the fifth year of its publication. In tune with the aim of IYA to promote the universal message of Yoga globally to reach all cross sections of the popula4ons, Yogavāni records the various happenings rela4ng to Yoga at the nook and corner
of the world. It has sec4ons on the core concepts of yoga, prac4cal aspects, food and lifestyle relating to Yoga. Thus, at one point, it unites the Yoga Gurus, Yoga teachers, practitioners and enthusiasts. It keeps the steam of Yoga moving nonchalantly radia4ng from Bharat with its centre all over the world.
The forthcoming special issue, which will also start with its physical form, will have the theme of “Yoga-A universal cohesive force”. Practice of Astāñga Yoga which addresses the human system as a whole is universal in appeal. It is prac4sed across the globe by all sec4ons of the humanity irrespec4ve of gender, class, creed or faith. One of the synonyms for the word Yoga is ‘Sangati’ which means bringing together. Through its power of cleansing the mind of the ‘individual ego’, it brings out the ‘universal consciousness’ which unites all.
IYA has been growing leaps and bounds in bringing together the varied tradi4ons of Yoga andalso in bringing out the efficacy of Yoga.
I wish ‘Yogavāni’ all the best in the years to come.
