Chandigarh State UT Chapter of the Indian Yoga Association successfully hosted a grand ‘Yoga Utsav on October 27, 2024, at Brahmrishi Yoga College, Sector 19, Chandigarh, with more than 200 participants attending the event. The festival was inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by Ganesh Vandana. It celebrated the holistic benefits of yoga and featured a variety of challenging asanas, including Akarna Dhanurasana, Dhanurasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Chakrasana, Hanuman Asana, Natarajasana, Bakasana, Shirshasana, and Virabhadrasana, all skilfully performed by dedicated sadhaks.
Winners were recognized across various age categories for both girls and boys
The event was graced by Smt Kamal Sisodia, Commandant of the CRPF 13th Battalion, as the Chief Guest. She highlighted the transformative power of yoga. Other distinguished guests included Shri Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor of Chandigarh, Smt Anju Katyal, and Shri Jasbir Singh Bunty, who awarded certificates to the winners and emphasized the importance of yoga in daily life.
