On July 28, 2024, the Chandigarh Chapter celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at the Community Centre, Sector 42. The event featured Sister Krishna Goyal as the Guest of Honour and Shri Jasbir Singh Bunty, Area Councillor, as the Chief Guest.
Over 100 attendees enjoyed the festivities, which included an emotional drama and song performed by Ms Neera, Ms Meena Bansal, and Ms Sarita, bringing tears to many eyes. Shri Ajit Handa, Chairperson of the Chandigarh Chapter, extended his wishes from Chicago through a video message.

Commendations were given by Ms. Indira Gupta (Editor of Aggarjan Patrika), Kiran Sharma (Yoga Coach), and Deepa (Zonal President). The event’s success was also attributed to the significant contributions of Mr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Dr. Pardeep Agnihotri (General Secretary, IYA), and other dedicated members including Smt Sarbjeet Kaur Saini, Shri Rakesh Sukhija, Ms Jyotsana, Shri Arun Gulati, Shri Sanjay, Ms Amita, Ms Sandhya, Ms Seema Thakur, Ms Seema Jain, Ms Mamta, Shri Manu, Ms Vibha, Ms Lata, Shri N.R. Saini, and Shri Anoop.
Additionally, on August 7, 2024, the Chandigarh Chapter also celebrated the Teej Festival with a vibrant event led by Yoga Trainer Ms. Sarabjit Kaur Saini. The celebration featured a lively Giddha performance, a traditional Punjabi folk dance, by the sisters in colorful regional attire. The dance troupe included Ms Mandeep Kaur, Ms Kuldeep Kaur, Ms Amrit Saini, Shri Parveen, Shri Babu, Ms Shallu, Ms Anjana, Ms Geeta, and Ms Paramjit. The event concluded with a speech from Ms. Sudha Rana, Vice Chairperson, who expressed gratitude and congratulations to all members for their enthusiastic participation and efforts.
