Indian Yoga Association (IYA) orchestrated a vibrant Yoga Mahotsav on April 14, 2024, 7:00 pm onwards commemorating the 68th day leading up to the International Day of Yoga, held at the District Sports Association in Malda, West Bengal, in collaboration with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India.

Over 500 yoga enthusiasts, including school children from the region, gathered to participate in an invigorating Yoga session following the Common Yoga Protocol. The event showcased an unprecedented surge in passion for yoga, resonating deeply with attendees.

The distinguished presence of Shri Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury, Mayor of Malda District, West Bengal, added to the event’s significance. Hundreds of yoga lovers united to advocate for yoga’s transformative impact on health and well-being, contributing positively both nationally and globally as we celebrate the 10th edition of the International Day of Yoga this year.

The Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) took center stage during the event. Expert practitioners demonstrated the CYP live, with over a hundred Yoga enthusiasts joining in the practice. The event was live-streamed across various social media platforms managed by the Indian Yoga Association, Ministry of Ayush, MDNIY, and other prominent Yoga institutions, amplifying its reach and impact.
