IYA holds 37th Executing Council Meeting 

The Thirty Fourth meeting of the Executive Council of Indian Yoga Association was held online on August 26, 2023, between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm.

The meeting was attended by Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra, President, Dr Chinmay Pandya, Vice President, Shri S Sridharan, Vice President, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary, Brahmacharini Shobha, Joint Secretary, Shri KC Jain, Treasurer, Smt Padmini Rathore, Working Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee, Dr S P Mishra, CEO, PrCB, Shri PC Kapoor Director, Standing Finance Committee, Dr Ganesh Rao, Director, Standing Academics and Accreditation Committee, Smt. Kamlesh Barwal, Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee and Dr Manjunath Sharma, Director, Standing Research Committee.

The meeting started with the prayer. Shri Subodh Tiwari welcomed all and handed over the floor to Honourable President to open the meeting. In her address, Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra asked all present about their inputs and suggestions about the meetings held in previous months.
The agenda was tabled by Shri Subodh Tiwari after the minutes were approved for the 36th Executive Council Meeting was approved. Discussions were held about enhancing the presence of IYA globally, strengthening the finances of IYA, to decentralise the responsibility of IYA secretariat office and ease operations, planning the General Body Meeting, yoga professionals under IYA should follow right ethics and implementation of grand parenting program for yoga therapy.

Secretary General further informed that formation of Subcommittee under Standing Research Committee is underway and the IEC is also working further on standards and giving ethical clearance for IYA members.

The new committee of Andhra Pradesh state chapter committee (AP SCC) was approved. Executive Council members were informed about the progress on International Yoga Summit 2023. Revenue sharing on the certification fee with the Associate Centres for encouraging larger participation was also put forward on the table.

The President in her closing note thanked and greeted all the members present and mentioned that early aspects need a good analysis. Meeting concluded with Shanti Mantra.
