RJSCC re-nominate the members 

The Rajasthan State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association held a meeting on June 4, 2023 at 11 am at the Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Rajasthan Office, Jaipur. The meeting went on for more than 4 hours and saw the presence of Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA and the members of the state chapter including Shri Surya Pratap Singh Rajawat, Vice Chairperson, Dr Swatantra Sharma, Secretary, Dr.Veena Moondra, Convenor – Accreditation, Sh. Himanshu Paliwal, Joint Secretary and Sh. Anil Sharma, Member – Finance. Shri Dhakaram, Yoga Peace Association, Dr Guneet Monga Bhargava, Pacific University, Udaipur, Shri Manish Vijayvargiya, Shri Abhinav Joshi, Jaipur Yoga League, Jaipur, Smt Hemlata, Yogasthali Yog Society and Shri Umesh Sharma, Yogasthali Yog Society were the special invitees.

Meeting commence with chanting of Om!!

The major points discussed in the presence of Shri Subodh Tiwari included increasing the numbers of the Associate Centre, Yoga Volunteer Members, Yoga Professional Members and Life Members, strengthening the financials of the state chapter, to make IYA the Knowledge Partner of the events organised by the Member Institutes in collaboration with the Association, preparing an outline for organising events and sponsorships.

Thereafter, SG suggested that the state chapter should organise quarterly events where emphasis should be on research and academics. In these events stress should be given on youth and efforts should be made to make them IYA professional or volunteer members. Same can be done with Associate Centres where we can provide IYA membership to the people associated with them. This will also help us enhance our database.

On the occasion, Shri Swatantra Sharma suggested to organise 4 big events at state level in Kota, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. The first event will be held at Kota for 2 days on stress-free life program. Stress management workshops and meditation workshops will also be held.

Towards the end, everybody present appreciated the work done by Indian Yoga Association and stress on the importance of contributing towards research in the field of Yoga. The meeting concluded shanti mantra.
