The 3rd meeting of the Governing Council of Indian Yoga Association was held online on June 19, 2021 at 05:00 p.m.to mark the 7th International Day of Yoga. The meeting saw the auspicious presence of members of the Governing Council of Indian Yoga Association including Shri OP Tiwari, Kaivalyadhama, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, The Art of Living, Swami Chidananda Saraswati, Parmarth Niketan, Swami Bharat Bhushan, Mokshayatan Yogashram, Dr Ishwar Basavaraddi, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Guruji Dr HR Nagendra, President, IYA and Smt Kamlesh Barwal, Secretary General, IYA.
At the outset Guruji Dr HR Nagendra welcomed all the members. Swami Chidananda Saraswati ji opened the meeting with mantras. In the absence of Pujya Swami Ramdevji Maharaj, Chairman, IYA, Sh. O.P Tiwari ji presided over the meeting.
The meeting commenced with confirmation of the minutes of the 2nd meeting of Governing Council of IYA held at the Isha Foundation, Coimbatore on February 10, 2020. The virtual congregation of the yoga gurus discussed important issues. Everyone present was of the point of view that the Governing Council members should meet more often.
The meeting concluded with a prayer chanted by Swami Chidananda Saraswati ji for global harmony and well-being.
