The Executive Council of Indian Yoga Association came together once again for the 23rd time on April 12, 2021. It is always a very pleasant sight to see the stalwarts of Yoga on one screen. After the greetings and opening prayer all dived into the intense discussions about promotion and propagation of Yoga.

The meeting commenced with confirming the minutes of 22nd Executive Council Meeting held on January 30, 2021. Thereafter, it was decided to finalise the Concept Note on Yoga as soon as possible as Indian Yoga Association is the nodal association promoting the ancient science. Dr Jaideep Arya suggested to create a note that would widen the scope of inclusion for the institutions or individuals who would want to join IYA Family.

The EC members also agreed upon adding Manipur and Tripura as the State Chapters of the association. Everybody was also informed that for the upcoming International Day of Yoga, a pre-recorded fifteen-minute discourse will be relayed continuously from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m by IYA to highlight the event and utilize the opportunity to increase awareness of its uniqueness and togetherness.

Towards the end of the meeting, Shri Ravi Tumuluri highlighted that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, (A Central University) Lucknow will be organising Foundation Course in Yoga with IYA and with the support of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
